Aromas Of Asia is a family-owned business, run mainly by brothers MT and TL Haokip.
With years of experience in various food and service industry, MT and TL Haokip set out to realize their American dream and open their own establishment.
MT Haokip began his career in the food and beverage service industry in India, first as a waiter, then as team leader & bartender. He worked in a five-star hotel & restaurant in India for seven years, afterwhich he relocated to America. He worked at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, Maryland for over a year and then moved to Tulsa.
In Tulsa, he worked as a hibachi chef for many well-known and popular Japanese restaurants such as Shogun, Asahi, Osaka, Ichiban, as well as a brief stint in Seattle at Hamanasu (Benihana).
After years of working in the industry, he, along with his brother, TL, decided to open their own business and promote a more healthy and organic asian diet reflected on their Japanese selections.
